Therapy for grief, divorce, parenting and relationships in Ottawa

Helping You Understand Yourself, Your Relationships, and the Patterns Shaping Your Life

Life can feel overwhelming when the same challenges keep showing up in your relationships, your parenting, your family, or the way you relate to yourself.

I believe that understanding ourselves helps us better understand the people we love, the challenges we face, and the lives we want to create.

You may be:

  • Struggling with difficult family relationships

  • Feeling responsible for everyone else's needs

  • Navigating separation, divorce, or co-parenting challenges

  • Carrying the weight of grief, caregiving, or loss

  • Wondering why certain relationship patterns keep repeating

  • Trying to create healthier relationships with your children, partner, family, or yourself

Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand yourself, your experiences, and the relationships that shape your life so that you can move forward with greater clarity, confidence, and intention.

For children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

Currently accepting new clients in-person in Centertown, Ottawa, and virtually across Ontario and Quebec

Therapy for grief, divorce, parenting and relationships in Ottawa

The Quality of Our Relationships Shapes the Quality of Our Lives

The ways we think, feel, communicate, and connect with others are shaped by experiences that often begin long before adulthood.

Sometimes these patterns help us navigate life with confidence and connection.

Sometimes they leave us feeling stuck, disconnected, overwhelmed, or repeating the same struggles.

Whether you're navigating family conflict, parenting challenges, relationship difficulties, separation, grief, or major life transitions, therapy offers an opportunity to better understand what is happening beneath the surface.

Together, we'll explore the experiences, beliefs, emotions, and relationship patterns influencing your life so that you can respond with greater intention and create the life you want to build.

My
Approach

Understanding Yourself So You Can Better Understand Others

"Understanding ourselves helps us better understand the people we love, the challenges we face, and the lives we want to create."

Many of the challenges we face in adulthood are rooted in the ways we learned to navigate relationships earlier in life.

The relationships we witnessed, the roles we adopted, the beliefs we formed about ourselves, and the ways we learned to cope often continue influencing our lives long after childhood.

Therapy creates an opportunity to understand these patterns with curiosity rather than judgment.

As understanding grows, so does the ability to make different choices, establish healthier boundaries, strengthen relationships, and respond to life's challenges in new ways.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change begins with understanding.

About Claire

I'm a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist who works with children, teens, adults, couples, and families.

My work is rooted in the belief that understanding ourselves and our relationships creates opportunities for meaningful change.

While I work with a wide range of concerns, I have a particular interest in helping individuals and families better understand the patterns influencing their relationships, challenges, and life transitions.

This often includes support with:

  • Parenting & family relationships

  • Codependency, people-pleasing, and boundaries

  • Separation, divorce, and co-parenting

  • High-conflict relationship dynamics

  • Grief and bereavement

  • Caregiver support

  • End-of-life and MAiD-related concerns

I also hold a Certificate in Death, Dying and Bereavement from Wilfred Laurier University, which informs my work with grief, bereavement, caregiving, end-of-life concerns, and Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD).

My goal is to create a space where clients feel seen, understood, and supported as they work toward healthier relationships, greater self-understanding, and more fulfilling lives.
